Week 2!

It has been another wonderful week in Wing PE.

The High School started creating their individual fitness plans. Along with that they also participated in their first Fitness Day Tuesday. They all worked along with the video very well. I was proud to see the boys trying their best and having fun with it.

Junior High worked on Volleyball skills this week. They partnered up and helped each other get the cues of the fore arm pass(bumping) and overhead pass(setting) down. We discussed how having a flat platform is important for control, as well as using our legs and shoulder for power rather than swinging our arms like a bat. They also participated in their first Fitness Day Thursday. There was a little hesitation but over all the students seemed to have some fun with it as well.

K-6 worked on collaboration and listening this week. We discussed what each term meant and how to apply it. I showed the students a short clip of Disney Shorts that displayed how to collaborate. Many of our activities focused on working as a team and discussion to accomplish a task rather than speed.
